Today, we’re launching Adjustibl.
We built Adjustibl because keeping accurate investment records is harder than it should be. Transactions end up spread across brokerage statements, spreadsheets, and personal notes. Once different currencies, account treatments, options, fees, and transfers enter the picture, answering a simple question can take far too much work.
Questions like:
- What is my adjusted cost base?
- How much did I actually gain or lose on this sale?
- How much of that result came from currency movements?
- Which transactions produced the number in my report?
- Are my records complete?
The information is usually there. The difficult part is bringing it together and understanding what happened.
One place for your transactions
Adjustibl lets you import transactions from different brokerage accounts and keep them together in one organized record.
It maintains the running calculations behind your investments, including adjusted cost base, income, gains and losses, and foreign-property positions. Different accounts can use different treatments, while transactions for the same investment can still contribute to the appropriate combined calculation.
The goal is not just to produce a final number. You should also be able to see where that number came from.
Calculations you can follow
Investment calculations can become opaque very quickly. A spreadsheet formula might break, a transaction might be missing, or a final number might arrive without enough detail to review it properly.
Adjustibl keeps the source transactions, calculations, and explanations together. You can follow a result back to the activity that produced it, review the assumptions being used, and have a more useful conversation with your accountant when something does not look right.
You can also connect your preferred AI and ask questions about your Adjustibl records in plain language.
Built for Canadian investors
Adjustibl is built in Canada for the recordkeeping problems Canadian investors run into.
That includes investments held in Canadian and foreign currencies, running adjusted cost base calculations, different account treatments, superficial losses, options, and the reports needed to understand the full picture.
We also made a deliberate choice not to connect directly to your bank or brokerage accounts. Adjustibl does not store your brokerage account numbers. You decide what information to import and what records to keep.
This is the beginning
There is still a lot we want to improve.
We will continue expanding the calculations, reports, explanations, and import experience as more people use Adjustibl. We want it to become the place where you can understand your investment history without rebuilding it from scratch every time you have a question.
If you are trying Adjustibl for the first time, thank you. We hope it gives you clearer answers and is genuinely delightful to use.
