You can connect ChatGPT to Adjustibl to ask questions about your recorded transactions, calculation explanations and annual reports. Instead of copying numbers into a chat, you can ask ChatGPT to retrieve the relevant records from your account.
For example:
In my 2025 portfolio, explain the currency gain on transaction 88. Show the amounts used in Adjustibl's calculation.
The connection uses MCP, a standard that lets an AI work with another application's tools. You do not need to write code to connect it.
Before you start
Have your Adjustibl sign-in ready. Your ChatGPT account must allow custom MCP connections; workspace administrators can restrict them. Your available Adjustibl actions also depend on your plan and the permissions you approve.
This guide uses a manual connection. It does not require Adjustibl to appear in ChatGPT's public directory.
Add the connection
-
Open Plugins in ChatGPT.
-
Select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
-
Name it Adjustibl. For the description, enter Review my Adjustibl transactions and reports.
-
Choose a public server connection and enter this address:
https://adjustibl.com/mcp -
Use OAuth authentication when prompted. Review ChatGPT's connection notice and create the plugin.
-
Complete the Adjustibl sign-in when requested. Check which permissions are being requested before approving access.
-
Install or enable the resulting plugin. In a new conversation, type @ and select Adjustibl.
OpenAI's custom MCP connection instructions describe this flow. If your interface differs or the option is missing, check your account's available features and workspace permissions.
Try your first question
Start with a small request that confirms the connection is working:
Use Adjustibl to list my portfolios. Do not change anything.
Then name the portfolio, account and year you want to discuss:
In my Retirement portfolio, show the recorded withdrawals for 2025 and identify the accounts they came from.
Explain why transaction 88 needs review. Use its saved explanation and tell me what information is missing.
Explain the Cash section of my 2025 Capital Accounts Report. Show which recorded amounts support the totals.
Ask ChatGPT to distinguish Adjustibl's saved results from its own interpretation. If a result is unavailable or needs recalculation, it should tell you rather than substitute an estimate.
Reading records and making changes
Read access lets ChatGPT retrieve the information available through the connection. It does not authorize changes.
Where your Adjustibl plan supports AI editing, changes require write permission as well. The editing workflow is designed to show you the proposed values and request confirmation before saving. Review the account, transaction and amounts in that preview.
Connecting Adjustibl does not connect ChatGPT to your brokerage or give it permission to place trades.
Your information
Information retrieved through the connection is sent to OpenAI to answer your request. OpenAI's terms and your account's data settings apply to its handling of that information.
You can revoke access in Settings → Connected apps in Adjustibl. You can also remove the connection from ChatGPT. Revoking access stops future requests; it does not erase information already included in a conversation.
Preparing a statement is a separate task
If you want help turning a brokerage PDF or CSV into an upload file, use the Uploading with the help of AI guide. Statement preparation works with files you provide and does not require a connection to your Adjustibl account.
